How do I use the Panorama accessibility overlay tool in D2L?
Answer
The Panorama accessibility overlay tool allows you to adjust the content and color of your D2L courses.
To get started, click the purple, person icon in the bottom-right of any D2L course. To keep your settings, click Save at the bottom.
Use a Prebuilt Accessibility Profile
There are prebuilt accessibility profiles available for use:
- Visually Impaired: Enhance the website visuals and increase the size of text and graphics.
- Motor Impaired: Pause animations.
- Color Blind: Alter the color palette by increasing contrast and saturation.
- Dyslexia: Activate Dyslexia-friendly font and pause animations.
- Cognitive & Learning: Increase the size of text, create borders around titles, headings, and links, and activate the Reading Guide.
- ADHD: Reduce distractions and activate the Reading Mask (spotlights specific section of the page).
- Seizure & Epileptic: Eliminate flashing visuals as well as certain color combinations.
Create a Custom View
Under the "Color Adjustments" and "Content Adjustments" tabs, you may mix-and-match settings to create a custom view.
To start over, click Reset at the bottom. You may also Save your settings.
