As a campus guest, how do I connect my personal device to the school's wireless network (Wi-Fi)?
Campus guests may connect their personal devices to Northern's wireless network (Wi-Fi).
Agreeing to the SDBOR's Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems terms is required to use the network.
Please read below based on the type of guest you are.
Note: Your registration is valid for 3 days.
1. Connect to nsuguest.
2. A browser window will open. Read the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems, check that "I have read and accept" the terms, then select Continue.

3. You are now connected to the wireless network (Wi-Fi).
If you are a student or staff at a different South Dakota Board of Regents university (or qualifying institution), you should use eduroam.
Computer/Laptop
1. Connect to eduroam.
2. Enter your university account and password, then click OK.
3. Select Connect.
4. A browser window will open. Read the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems and choose that I accept the terms.
5. You are now connected to the wireless network (Wi-Fi).
iPhone
1. Connect to eduroam.
2. Enter your university account and password, then click Join.
3. Select Trust.
4. A browser window will open. Read the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems and choose that I accept the terms.
5. You are now connected to the wireless network (Wi-Fi).
Android Phone
1. Connect to eduroam.
2. Select the following options:
- "EAP Method": PEAP
- "Identity": Enter your university account.
- "Password": Enter your university account's password.
- "CA certificate": Don't validate
- "Auto reconnect": On
When you are done, click Connect.
3. A browser window will open. Read the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems and choose that I accept the terms.
4. You are now connected to the wireless network (Wi-Fi).
