How do I activate my course in D2L?

Answer

Students cannot access a D2L course until the instructor marks it as "Active".

You may choose to activate your course up to 30 days prior to the course's start date, although it is common to do so a few days before. Students may not complete any course work until the start date of the course, but they can view the syllabus, check out required course materials, etc.

1. Navigate to Course Offering Information. There are two different ways:

a. From the “My Courses” widget on the D2L homepage:

1. Click the “…” menu.
2. Select Course Offering Information.

b. Inside the course:

1. Click Edit Course in the navbar.
2. Select Course Offering Information.

2. Scroll down, then check that the “Course is active”. Click Save.
