How do I connect my personal device to the school's wired network?

Students living in the residence halls (dorms) may connect their personal devices to Northern's wired network using an ethernet cable.
Agreeing to the SDBOR's Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems terms is required to use the network.
Solution
Please read below based on your residence hall (dorm).
All Residence Halls (except Steele)
Great Plains East & West, Wolves Memorial Suites, and Kramer Hall have individual Aruba Access Points in each bedroom. There are three active network ports: E1, E2, and E3. Port E0 is not usable.
You may use the USB port to charge your devices.
Computer/Laptop
1. Connect your computer/laptop to one of the activated ports (E1, E2, or E3) using an ethernet cable.
2. A browser window will open. Select Username/password login.
3. Read the Acceptable Use of Information Technology Systems and choose that I accept the terms.
4. Sign in with your Wolves account.
5. You are now connected to the wired network.
Gaming/Media Device (PlayStation, Smart TV, Fire Stick, etc.)
1. Connect your gaming/media device to one of the activated ports (E1, E2, or E3) using an ethernet cable.
2. On a computer or smartphone - that is already connected to the network - go to Northern's Device Registration page.
3. Sign in with your Wolves account.
4. You will see a list of all your registered devices. Select Register another device.
5. Enter the MAC Address of your gaming/media device (including the colons), then select Register.
6. You are now connected to the wired network.
Steele Hall has a network port in the room that must be activated before use.
First, please submit a ticket to activate the network port: Student Port Request
Network port activation may take a few days. You will receive an email confirmation once it's ready, and you can continue below.
